GENERAL MEMBERS MEETING AT THE NORTHERN QUEST CASINO
Presentation of minutes: Mel Hamilton reviewed minutes from the March 31, 2006 board meeting held at The Creek at
Qualchan golf course and minutes from the August 25, 2006 board meeting at
Twin
Lakes
. He said that
by approving the two sets of minutes the bylaws of the association will be revised and handicapping will be effected.
The first change was the dropping of the 75-30 age/handicap rule where a member who is 75 years old and has a
handicap of 30 or greater is permitted to play from forward tees. The board passed a motion to eliminate this
non USGA practice.

INLAND EMPIRE SENIOR’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
DIRECTORS MEETING AT CREEK AT QUALCHAN
In attendance: President, George Stevens, Vice Pres. Duane Beamer, Sec. Treas. Mel Hamilton, Trm. Chm. Lee Spencer,
Board members: Jerry Hopkins, Ken Degerman, Roger McCarty, Stan Miller and Rich Rust. Board members absent were
Mike McNeilly, Don Kolb (in
Europe
), Dick McConnell and Bob Woody. Also absent was the Handicap Chairman,
Chuck Sylvas (recuperating) in hospital.
President Stevens called the board meeting to order at 9:00 am.
Mel Hamilton mentioned that the 75-30 plan we use, where a IESGA member who is 75 years old and has a handicap
of 30 or more may play from the forward tees, is not consistent with USGA rules that we play under. Mr. Sylvas and
Mr. Spencer have also discussed this matter. Director Rust moved to eliminate the 75-30 rule, Director Degerman
seconded and the motion, following discussion passed with Director Hopkins voting nay.
